Afghanistan (1)-the lunacy of President Biden- putting millions at risk in return for his re-election.
Unless you’ve been living on a desert Island you’ll know that this week US President Joe Biden has escalated the withdrawal of US troops and personnel from Afghanistan.
To me that is a kick in the teeth to all the brave Allied sons and daughters who went to Afghanistan and never came home.
This is the first of my three video blogs on this where I detail the lunacy of President Joe Biden and I would ask that you subscribe below to get all of them.
Who on earth are you? What makes you qualified to talk on this?
My name is Bond, James Bond. I am a health and fitness expert based in the UK- although I have clients worldwide. I am the son of two legal immigrants from India to the UK. I am the grandson of a very prominent Indian socialist. I come from a family of champagne socialists. I know the immigrant lifestyle and the challenges that come along with it.
I have relatives in the USA and India. None of whom will speak to me because of one reason- I support Donald Trump. However what I write here is not for political gain.
In a limited capacity I have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces. I have friends who served in Northern Ireland, Syria and Afghanistan who never came home. I have also done fitness training for several HM Armed Forces members.
In my day job I work with people who want to improve their quality of life, particularly those who want to lose weight. What makes my service different is that I am one of very few personal trainers in the UK who is medically qualified. Therefore I can take on super high risk cases that nobody would ever take on- such as Deborah Fox.
A British Member of Parliament who served in Afghanistan sums things up perfectly.
Conservative MP Tom Tugendhat served in Afghanistan and gave a powerful speech in the Commons, sharing his experiences, as he said the current situation felt like a defeat. The former soldier touched on the efforts of the military, aid workers, journalists and others before noting: ‘I know that we’ve all been struggling and if this recall has done one thing… I’ve spoken to the Health Secretary, he’s already made a commitment to do more for veterans’ mental health.’ Fellow MPs applauded their colleague as he finished the emotive message and took to social media to praise the former soldier.
My own view- the views of a UK born and raised 2nd generation Indian immigrant who- in a limited fashion- served in Her Majesty’s forces. Here I detail why Biden is doing this to secure re-election.
My views are echoed by the man who should be in charge of this- former US president Donald Trump.
What you can do.
If you are in the UK.
Support our troops who are coming home. Only they will know what they have been through. Consider making a regular donation to the British Legion.
Go to https://members.parliament.uk/FindYourMP and drop a line to your Member of Parliament. For reasons I’ll discuss in a later blog its one thing to offer these refugees temporary assistance. In the long run it’s not fair to them to take them to a country which is so different from the one they left. I personally think it’s safer and more humane to send them to Saudi Arabia. Trump worked out it cost the US taxpayer some $25,000 to take in one Syrian refugee. However the Saudi’s can take one in for $5000. Its cheaper and it’s better for them.

Watch out for the next episode tomorrow- the immigration debate re-opened.
