Eddie Izzard’s comments on “‘I would’ve been murdered in Nazi Germany’”
I refer to Eddie Izzard proudly outspoken on trans issues but admits: ‘I would’ve been murdered in Nazi Germany’ (1) where Eddie is quoted as saying:
“‘Gay people were put in concentration camps. That’s what this extreme right-wing thinking will do,’ she added.”
I have news for anyone reading that article.
Nazi is an abbreviation for National Socialist.
Hitler’s party was called The National Socialist German Workers’ Party (2) . A lot of the pro LGBTQ legislation worldwide has been passed by the right. I do security at nightclubs on a freelance basis- most commonly at gay bars. I left the Labour party because their members are the most racist, most bigoted most homophobic people you can imagine. By contrast I have yet to have ONE racist comment thrown at my by someone on the right.

Chairman Mao- General Secretary of the Chinese Community Party.
Joseph Stalin- General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
Erich Honeker leader of the German Democratic Republic.
Nicolae Ceaușescu; General secretary of the Romanian Communist Party from 1965 to 1989.

A while ago some taxi drivers put in a complaint against me because when a customer comes out of the club I ask “how are you getting home?” If that customer says taxi either I or one of my colleagues will walk them to a taxi with CCTV. We ask the customer to photograph the license plate and text it to a friend. We give the customer a card and ask that they text us their address and that they got home safely in return we give them a voucher for a half price drink next time they come in. We ask that they pay the cabbie by card up front so both sides can be traced easily.
The complaint was thrown out because a lot of our customers who are on the right of the political spectrum wrote in saying how much they appreciated my over the top security measures.
People should be careful what they say.
