Today is National Police Memorial day. https://www.nationalpolicememorialday.org/

It’s a day when we remember the police officers who have fallen in the line of duty.

The people of the UK have been shocked by the murder of Sergeant Matt Ratana a police officer from Croydon who was murdered in the line of duty.

Please watch the video below for a very moving story.

It never ceases to amaze me how little respect some people have for the police. Every year when we celebrate Holi and Diwali I always inform the police of our occasion. I give them a breakdown of the attendees.

There’s never any trouble but the police ALWAYS turn up. They know I’ll never let them go without giving them a meal.

These brave men and women put themselves in harm’s way to keep us safe. Those who have fallen must NEVER be forgotten.

We must never forget PC Keith Palmer https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-43347393

We must never forget PC Alan Harper https://www.judiciary.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/LONG-BOWERS-COLE-AND-KING-sentencing-remarks-FINAL.pdf

Nor must we ever forget Sergeant Matt Ratana.

The reaction of the Home Secretary, Priti Patel, to the murder of Sergeant Matt Ratana.

I defy you to look at this video of the memorial to those police officers who have fallen and not be moved.

Take action

Please sign this parliamentary petition to ask for tougher sentences for those who assault the police.

The way I look at it is simple. A police officer makes an oath of allegiance to the Queen. Thus an attack on a police officer must be taken as seriously as an attack on the Queen herself and is therefore an act of treason.

Please go to https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/332844 and sign the petition.

If we get 1000 signatures to a parliamentary petition then the government has to respond. If we get 100,000 they consider it for debate so sign it.
